Updates for the Retail platform in May 2023

Updated over a week ago

At Productsup, we are continuously working to improve the functionality of our Retail PX solution. See the updates and new features we released to the platform in May 2023 to make your experience more intuitive.

Platform features and updates

Asset Types now available to all users

You can use Asset Types to easily categorize your assets in the functionality Media. Previously, only admin users could create asset types, meaning all users needed to request new asset type categories from admins to categorize and sort assets in Media. Now, the functionality Asset Types is available to all users, where users can easily add asset types with the button Create asset type.

When creating an asset type, fill out the field Name and select Save.

In Products, in the Product Navigation, you can now open the tab Assets to see the column Asset type, available as a dropdown menu, where the asset type of the chosen asset can be selected.

Update fields in multiple languages simultaneously

Many users have multiple languages available in their workspaces, so we have released a more streamlined way of updating products. You can now update selected product fields in multiple languages simultaneously in Products. The fields will be changed with one update in every desired language (if available in your workspace).

  1. In the Product Overview page, select all products where you wish to update fields.

  2. Select the Actions drop-down menu and choose Update field.

  3. In the Update field pop-up window, select all the languages for which you wish to update fields in Select language.

Core GS1 GDSN

The Developers page is now available

In Retail PX, API access is an ideal solution for managing your data and automating regular content updates, especially when managing several external data sources (such as ERP, PIM, and GS1).

We have added the Developers page in Settings to let you more efficiently manage the API access management and developer documentation in Retail PX. On the Developers page, you can:

  • Request API access and use the Developer guide with all necessary information about the API;

  • Generate an API access key once we grant API access;

  • Revoke the API access key and generate a new one, should this be necessary for security reasons.

For more information about API usage in Retail PX or to request API access, please get in touch with your Customer Experience Manager.
