Platform features and updates

Email notifications about assigned tasks

When a user creates and assigns a task, the platform automatically sends an email to the users or workspaces assigned to the new task.

Do the following to create a new task, assign it, and send an email notification to a relevant user:

  1. Go to Tasks.

  2. Select Create task.

  3. Give the new task a name and a description in Tasks and Description. Select the needed task type in Type of Task.

  4. Select Next.

  5. Choose a user or workspace to receive the task in [FieldName].

When a user creates and assigns a task, the platform sends the following automatically generated message to the address of the users who should work on the task. The platform sends an email only if the email addresses of the relevant users are registered within the Retail platform.

Core GS1 GDSN

GS1 hierarchies and product variants visualization

On product detail pages in Product, the Product navigation area makes it easy to navigate all the information added to any specific product. In this area, you can now find the section Hierarchy to let you create product hierarchies that are useful for connecting and editing products linked on the client or retailer level. Using hierarchies keeps dataset and supply-chain errors to a minimum.

Hierarchies can help you to:

  • Build GS1 packaging hierarchies. To do so, choose the Select the hierarchy drop-down menu and select the hierarchy that you want to build on.

  • Link similar products. To do so, select the button Link products. You can link products and their quantities to a hierarchy. For example, you can use a hierarchy to link size and color variants of the same product to one hierarchy to ensure correct sorting and avoid mistakes when importing or exporting datasets.

  • Navigate between products in the hierarchy tree. To do so, use the zoom and center view buttons in the bottom-right corner of the page.

  • Control the quality and accuracy of the hierarchy tree. To do so:

You can use the button Language to add other languages to the hierarchy. You can use the button Filters to check any hierarchy for empty fields. You can create hierarchies for different product variants by using the button Variants to select existing variants or the button Add variant to create new ones.

When creating a hierarchy, you only need to link one lower-level GTIN to a parent item and specify the quantity of products included in a parent item. We recommend starting from the top item (PALLET or CASE) in case of GS1 hierarchies or from the parent container product in case of size and color product variants. Continue through the levels of the hierarchy down to the BASE and EACH units or individual style, size, or color variants.
